I was at Bondi when it was a big day the surf was like 10ft messy and me and another lifeguard paddled out down North Bondi and paddle across to the section and a 10 +ft wave came through and cleaned me and another lifeguard up I tried so hard to roll it felt like my arms were going to rip off. I handled it got back on my board and then another wave broke even further out to sea so I paddled towards it and try to roll this time if I did hold on my arms would have snapped off so I lost the board. The other lifeguard ending up snapping his board. We were pretty far out probably inline with the the point of Bondi we both had to swim back copping the waves on our head. The power of the waves were out of control, we made it back to shore after like a 15min swim had a breather then went out again later that day.
